FAQ
Pre-Purchase Questions
What is “ATACC” and what does it do?
ATACC stands for “Automatic Temperature and Coolant Controller”. It was designed to regulate the temperature of various distillation systems, and adapt to changes in real time. ATACC is planned to have an ecosystem of Addons and sister devices built around it to automate nearly every aspect of distillation and fermentation processes.
What’s included in the box with the ATACC?
Each ATACC order will contain one ATACC unit, a USB-C cable, a USB power supply, a 5mm thermal probe along with an user guide and disclaimer agreement.
Is this product compatible with unique still setups?
ATACC can work with nearly any still design or size as long as you can plug in a thermal probe and the coolant ports. Keep in mind a custom configuration/tune will be almost always needed. By default ATACC comes with a tune designed for smaller 25 liter stills but adjustments may need to be made to achieve optimal results.
My still won't fit the provided 5mm thermal probe.
ATACC supports the use of custom thermal probes. Any 2 pin analog probe will work as long as it has a voltage of 3.3 volts. the Steinhart values needed for accurate readings can be entered from within the web interface.
Do you offer extended warranties or protection plans?
Currently, we do not offer any product warranties or further protection plans. If you are having issues or are dissatisfied with our products, please reach out to us at migdynamicsatacc@gmail.com. We aren't satisfied unless you are.
Will ATACC continue to receive updates and support after launch?
Yes. ATACC will continue to receive updates to the software improving pre-existing features and adding entirely new ones. In addition to this there will be various hardware addons that give additional abilities to ATACC.
Order Tracking & Shipping
When will my product be shipped?

Unboxing & Initial Setup
Do I need any additional tools or accessories for setup?
No, installation and setup require zero tools.
Where can I find the setup guide or installation manual?
See user guide here under "Tutorials and Guides". User guide will also be available in paper form with every order. Additional setup and tutorial videos are available in this section of the website
How can I check if my product has the latest software or firmware?
Updates are handled on the ATACC web interface. See user guide for more information.
Usage & Daily Operation
What are the recommended care and maintenance practices?
Do not expose the ATACC unit to excessive heat as this may compromise the strength of the case. Also try to keep its exposure to liquids minimal, if liquid gets into the electrical compartment it may damage the unit.
Common Issues & Solutions
What to do if ATACC displays a white screen when powering on?
Re-boot the device (on and off). If the problem persists, contact customer support at migdynamicsatacc@gmail.com
What is the password for the ATACC WiFi network?
Password: 12345678
ATACC cannot find my WiFi network in the configuration portal.
If the signal is too weak, try moving ATACC closer to the WiFi router. ATACC only detects 2.4GHz networks, it will not work with 5GHz networks.
I cannot access the ATACC web-interface.
Ensure your device is connected to the same network as ATACC. If you are trying to connect through the internet and not a local network, you will need to make sure forward port 80 on your router. I recommend consulting google on how to port forward.
What is the default login information for the web interface?
Username: admin
Password: 12345678
ATACC temperature is stuck reporting 0°C.
Ensure thermal probe is plugged in. If probe is plugged in, try rebooting the device without the probe plugged in, and reboot with probe plugged in. *Note: you may need to reboot multiple times to take effect. If problem persists, contact
customer support at migdynamicsatacc@gmail.com
What does “Emergency Shutdown” mean, and how do I resolve it?
An emergency shutdown can be triggered for a number of different reasons,
including, but not limited to low or no flow, extreme coolant temperatures. Any discrepancy related to temperature flow or coolant that ATACC detects and cannot resolve will trigger a shutdown.
ATACC continuously reports 0.0mls flow.
Ensure there is adequate water flowing to device, and any water valves supplying ATACC are fully opened. If ATACC reports zero even when there is large amounts of water flowing through the unit. This could indicate a flow sensor issue, contact support.
Temperature fluctuates beyond ideal temperature range.
Every aspect of the temperature regulation can be tuned and configured within the expert settings tab on the web interface. NOTE: poorly configured tunes can be dangerous. Make sure you know what your doing before you attempt a custom tune. Use at your own risk
My ATACC unit was damaged and is leaking water out the bottom of the case.
This can occur from physical damage, impacts or other forms of abuse to the unit. ATACC was designed with durability in mind even in less than ideal conditions, it can still function and regulate even with a leak as the electronics are isolated from the mechanical assembly and drainage holes are built into the case. However excessive leaks may cause ATACC to perform poorly or dangerously, in this case do not use ATACC.
